Most people who pay for AI chat pay for one company's opinion. ChatGPT gives you OpenAI's models. Claude gives you Anthropic's. If you want a second opinion, you open another tab, paste the question again, read both answers, and decide which one you trust. Then you do it again next month, when someone ships a new model and the leaderboard reshuffles.
We think that comparison should be the product's job, not yours.

What it is
Unbiased Chat is a chat app running on Pareto, our blended model. Every time you ask something, Pareto runs a mix of frontier and open models on it and returns one answer. You never pick a model and nothing switches mid-conversation. You get one answer from a group of models instead of one guess from one model.
Pareto isn't a router. A router guesses how hard your prompt is and sends it to a single model. Pareto runs several models in parallel on every request. If you want the mechanics, they're on the how it works page.
What you can do with it today
- Ask. Writing, research, code, the stuff you'd ask any assistant.
- Analyze files. Drop in a document and work with it.
- Search the web. Answers that need current information can go get it.
- Create images. Same chat, no extra tool.
- Keep work together in Projects. Long-running threads stay organized instead of disappearing into a sidebar.
Search and image generation run on the server-side tools we added to the Unbiased API in September (changelog), so the chat app and the API share the same plumbing.
What it costs
Chat comes with every Personal and Personal Max subscription:
- Personal: $10/month, 25M tokens a week.
- Personal Max: $100/month, 300M tokens a week.
Both plans have a published weekly allowance. Neither is unlimited, and we'd rather tell you that now than in a rate-limit error later. Full details are on the pricing page.
If you're on pay-as-you-go API credits, credits alone don't unlock Chat. Pick up a Personal plan, or talk to us about Chat access for your organization.
What it isn't
Chat is not our zero-data-retention tier. Chat saves conversations and Projects. The Data Policy explains storage, retention and access.
If you need zero data retention, use Pareto through our ZDR tier (details in the 26.10 post). Pick the tool that fits the job, including when the job is "keep nothing."
Try it, then judge it
The test for a subscription isn't whether $10 sounds cheap. It's whether the answers are better than what you're paying for now. Ask Chat the hardest question you asked another assistant this week and compare.
